Welcome to my Peake's and Valleys Quilts blog.  

I started quilting when I was in college and have been in love with it ever since.  It all started when my Mama Jean (aka grandmother) gave me a beautiful, hand pieced and hand quilted quilt!  I knew from that moment that I wanted to learn how to make beautiful quilts just like her.

This is the quilt my Mama Jean gave me for graduation.  I think it made a beautiful backdrop for our engagement pictures.

I asked Mama Jean to teach me how to quilt and completed my very first quilt entirely by hand almost ONE YEAR later!!!  It took me so long, but every step was worth it.

This was my very first quilt.  As you can see, Bella has claimed this quilt as hers!

I continue to piece and quilt all of my quilts entirely by hand!  For me, it is so amazing to see all of the bits and pieces of fabric come together to make something truly beautiful.
